Camp Directors / Directores del Campamento: 

Dr. Megan Mahowald & Dr. Ella Merriwether

Using their extensive background in language, literacy, and child development, Dr. Megan Mahowald and Dr. Ella P. Merriwether have developed Camp Santos: Rec N’ Read to meet the needs of the greater Arlington community. They are dedicated to creating a welcoming, engaging, and culturally-affirming environment for campers so they feel confident taking ownership of their language skills well beyond the last day of camp.

Utilizando su amplia experiencia en lenguaje, alfabetización y desarrollo infantil, la Dra. Megan Mahowald y la Dra. Ella P. Merriwether han desarrollado Camp Santos: Rec N’ Read para satisfacer las necesidades de la comunidad del área de Arlington. Están comprometidas a crear un entorno acogedor, atractivo y culturalmente afirmativo para los campistas, de modo que se sientan seguros al asumir la responsabilidad de sus habilidades lingüísticas mucho más allá del último día del campamento.

Camp Counselors:

Our counselors are Marymount University students from a variety of programs, including Elementary Education, Special Education, and Psychology, who are dedicated to our campers’ language, literacy, and socioemotional development. 

Nuestros consejeros son estudiantes de la Universidad Marymount de diversos programas, entre ellos Educación Primaria, Educación Especial y Psicología, que están dedicados al desarrollo del lenguaje, la alfabetización y el bienestar socioemocional de nuestros campistas.
